Kylian Mbappé has won LaLiga Player of the Month for October, according to three of the main FC 27 leakers, and his POTM SBC is expected soon. EA and LaLiga have not posted it yet, and the card stats going around are a prediction, not a leak.
- Who: Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid, LaLiga POTM for October
- Reported by: FutPoliceLeaks, AsyFutTrader and FutSheriff (Friday 6 November)
- Predicted card: 92 ST, the same rating as his TOTW 7 card
- Expected: an SBC, date not announced
- Cost: likely several million coins, the priciest SBC of FC 27 so far
Mbappé LaLiga POTM: what we know
FutPoliceLeaks posted the news first on Friday morning, AsyFutTrader followed 17 minutes later with “official” and “SBC on the way”, and FutSheriff confirmed it just before noon. Three of the main leakers agreeing is about as solid as a POTM result gets before the league announces it.
| Source | Time (CET) | What they said | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| FutPoliceLeaks | Fri 6 Nov, 11:01 | Mbappé won LaLiga POTM | Leaked |
| AsyFutTrader | Fri 6 Nov, 11:18 | Official, SBC on the way | Leaked |
| FutSheriff | Fri 6 Nov, 11:59 | Mbappé is the LaLiga POTM | Leaked |
| EA / LaLiga | No post yet | Expected |
The fan vote for LaLiga’s October award closed on Monday. Mbappé was among the favourites after a strong month for Real Madrid, but not a sure thing: The FUT Accountant called him favourite or top two on Thursday and doubted he had won on Friday morning, before the leaks came out.
The predicted Mbappé POTM card
The card image shared with the news shows a 92-rated striker. It is a prediction by leak and content accounts, so treat the numbers as a guess until EA reveals the real card.
| Version | OVR | PAC | SHO | PAS | DRI | DEF | PHY | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mbappé POTM (prediction) | 92 | 97 | 92 | 82 | 93 | 31 | 78 | Rumoured |
The prediction is close to his 92 TOTW 7 card (97 pace, 92 shooting, 81 passing, 93 dribbling), with one point more passing. The FUT Accountant also expected a 92 back in October. The bigger question is what EA asks for it.
What the Mbappé POTM SBC could cost
The September LaLiga POTM, Raphinha 89, cost about 1.65 million coins at its peak. Mbappé is predicted three points higher, and his gold card alone costs about twice that, so expect a lot more.
| Card | OVR | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Raphinha, LaLiga POTM September | 89 | ~1.65M (23 Oct) |
| Gold Mbappé, out of packs | 91 | ~3.1M (2 Nov) |
| Mbappé POTM, estimate | 92 | 3.5M to 5.5M |
The FUT Accountant estimated 3.5 to 5.5 million coins in fodder for a 92-rated Mbappé, and said EA has not been afraid of a very expensive POTM before. He also expects high-rated fodder to rise the day the SBC drops and gold Mbappé to fall once the POTM is out. Both are his view, not EA’s.
If you plan to do it, 88 to 90-rated fodder is what an SBC this size eats. If you do not, the Accountant’s view points to the day the requirements go live as a better time to sell high-rated fodder than now.
When does the Mbappé POTM SBC come out?
EA has not given a date. POTM SBCs usually go live within a few days of the league’s announcement, at 6pm UK / 7pm CET. Friday is also the Road to the Knockouts launch, so the SBC may come with it or on one of the next evenings. The Bundesliga, Serie A and Premier League October winners are expected over the next week.
Our FC 27 SBC hub adds it with price and expiry when it goes live, and we will review it like the Raphinha POTM SBC.
