The change arrives as part of EA’s wider effort to reduce the “power curve” across the game, creating a slower progression toward elite cards. While the shift aims for more balance, many players have voiced frustration that the Weekend League now feels less rewarding despite its high skill demand.
EA’s reward adjustment
Before the FC 26 launch, EA made it clear that rewards would reflect a more “gradual” upgrade system. That promise is now visible across all FUT game modes, especially FUT Champions, where pack tiers and coin payouts have been adjusted. The new structure reduces the frequency of top-end pulls but increases consistency through packs like the 83+ and 84+ player sets.
