The Team of the Year (TOTY) hype is still lingering, but the focus has already shifted to the next major promotion: Future Stars. This year, the nostalgia is hitting a new level with a leaked roster of Icons and Heroes that represents these legends during their meteoric rise to the top.
The Leaked Icons
The leaked Icon list for this year’s Future Stars promo is one of the strongest we’ve seen, featuring a mix of pure goalscorers and defensive masters. While Maradona is also expected to feature, he is joined by an elite group of legends:
Eusébio: The “Black Panther” is set to receive a terrifying item. At his peak, Eusébio was defined by his raw acceleration and clinical power, making this a top-tier card for any strike force.
Xavi: A tribute to the midfield maestro as a young “La Masia” graduate. Expect elite passing and agility stats that allow players to dictate the tempo of the game.
Franco Baresi: One of the greatest defenders to ever play the game. His Future Stars card should offer a high-pace, high-intellect CB option, reflecting his early dominance at AC Milan.
Didier Drogba: The Ivorian powerhouse during his rise to fame. This card will be the ultimate physical threat, combining strength with lethal finishing.
Pichón: The legendary French striker joins the Future Stars ranks, likely offering a high-technical attacking option with 
Finesse Shot+ playstyle.
New Hero Alert: Cesc Fàbregas
The biggest headline for many will be the introduction of a new Hero: Cesc Fàbregas. Making his debut in this role, Fàbregas’s Future Stars card is a perfect fit, harkening back to his days as a teenage captain and midfield prodigy. Joining him in the Hero category are:
Steve McManaman: The dynamic winger known for his flair and dribbling at Liverpool and Real Madrid.
DaMarcus Beasley: A high-pace, high-energy option that provides essential links for MLS and USA squads.
Season Pass Rewards: Desailly, Owen, and Petit
In addition to the packable leaks, we have confirmation on the three players anchoring the Future Stars Season Pass. These items will be earnable through gameplay and XP:
- Marcel Desailly: A powerhouse French CB who will likely be the “must-have” reward for many.
- Michael Owen: A throwback to the 1998 breakthrough that made him a household name.
- Emmanuel Petit: A versatile, left-footed midfield engine who can shore up any defensive transition.
