Is FC 27 Road to the Knockouts confirmed?

Yes, the promo is. EA lists UEFA Road to the Knockouts on its FC 27 roadmap as the second Ultimate Team campaign of Season 2 (FC Heritage). The date is not.

The name is a comeback. In FC 26, EA ran its European promo as UEFA Primetime (from 7 November 2025), so RTTK returns after a year away. The early November slot fits: it is the same week last year’s UEFA promo launched. See every campaign in our FC 27 promo calendar and the confirmed upcoming promos.

FC 27 RTTK release date

The most likely launch is Friday 6 November at 6pm UK (7pm CET). EA’s Ultimate Scream article promised “two terrifying weeks” from 23 October, which ends on 6 November, and new promos almost always start at the Friday 6pm drop.

Tue 3 NovChampions League matchday 4 (day 1)
Wed 4 NovChampions League matchday 4 (day 2) Β· TOTW 8
Fri 6 NovExpected RTTK Team 1 Β· Ultimate Scream leaves packs
Fri 13 NovUltimate Scream token store expected to close Β· possible RTTK Team 2
Fri 20 NovHall of FUT: Unleashed expected

Two things to keep in mind:

  • Team 2 is not certain. If RTTK runs two weeks, Team 2 lands around 13 November. A one-week promo, like FC 26’s Primetime, is just as possible.
  • Your Scream tokens do not wait. The Ultimate Scream token store is expected to stay open one more week, to about 13 November. Read our Ultimate Scream hub before you spend them.

How FC 27 Road to the Knockouts upgrades work

EA has not published the FC 27 upgrade path. What we can say is how the last two European promos worked, because FC 27’s version will most likely build on one of them.

FC 26 UEFA Primetime (official EA rules)

Active players had five possible upgrades, tracked over their club’s next four European matches (three in the Conference League):

How FC 26 UEFA Primetime upgrades worked
ConditionUpgrade
Club earns 7+ points (UECL: 4+)+1 OVR
Player appears in a winRole+ and 1 PlayStyle
Attacker/midfielder scores or assists (defender: clean sheet or no card)Role++ and 1 PlayStyle
Club finishes top 8 (UWCL: top 4)1 PlayStyle+ or 2 PlayStyles
Club scores in 4 different matches (UECL: 3)+1 OVR

Heroes had two upgrades of their own (+1 OVR for two wins, and Role++ plus two PlayStyles for four goals), and Evolution versions of the cards got no upgrades at all.

FC 25 Road to the Knockouts

The last time EA used the RTTK name, upgrades were team based and every league phase match counted, even those played before the cards came out: +1 OVR for three wins, +1 OVR and Role++ for scoring in four matches, and a PlayStyle+ with Role++ for a top-two finish. It launched with the game in late September with two teams of 19.

The big open question for FC 27 is whether this week’s matchday 4 counts. In FC 25 it would have; in FC 26 only future matches did. If EA follows FC 26, the path starts with matchday 5 on 24 November.

UEFA fixtures that will decide the upgrades

After the Europa League and Conference League games on Thursday 5 November, there are no men’s European games until 24 November because of the international break. That means RTTK cards will sit at their release rating for almost three weeks before the first upgrade can trigger.

European fixtures from 3 November 2026
CompetitionRemaining league phase datesStatus
Champions League3/4 Nov, 24/25 Nov, 8/9 Dec, 19/20 Jan, 27 JanConfirmed
Europa League5 Nov, 26 Nov, 10 Dec, 21 Jan, 28 JanScheduled
Conference League5 Nov, 26 Nov, 10 Dec, 17 DecScheduled
Women’s Champions League10/11 Nov, 18/19 Nov, 16 DecScheduled

The women’s competition is the exception: UWCL items could start upgrading within a week of launch. The final upgrades for men’s cards are expected around Thursday 28 to Friday 29 January 2027, after the last league phase night.

Which players could be in RTTK?

Nobody has leaked the squad yet, and we will not guess ratings. Expect a mix of men’s and women’s players from all four European competitions, probably around 15 cards, as Future Stars and Ultimate Scream were that size. FC 26 also added new Heroes to its UEFA promo (Laudehr, De Rossi and Salgado), so a Hero or two would not be a surprise.

@AsyFutTrader asked his followers who they want to see, which is usually a sign the leaks are close:

Do not confuse RTTK with the UEFA Star Performer cards that have dropped after European matchweeks since 17 October. Those are 48-hour pack cards for one big performance, with no live upgrades.

What RTTK means for your club and the market

New promos tend to push prices down in the days before they arrive, as players sell to open packs on day one. The FUT Accountant said on 2 November that he expects the market to bottom out around Tuesday before a small rise late in the week.

Things to plan for:

  • Spend or keep tokens: Ultimate Scream tokens are the clock that runs out first, not RTTK.
  • Fodder: RTTK usually brings player SBCs and upgrade SBCs, which lift 84 to 86 rated fodder on launch night.
  • Pick live cards with a plan: a player whose club is still likely to win European games is worth more than a slightly higher rated card from a club that is already out of the top 8 race.

We will update this page the moment the Team 1 leak, EA’s upgrade path and the official ratings arrive. For everything else coming up, check our leaks section.
