FC 27 RTTK SBC cards: the three leaked players

The three graphics appeared in the same format EA uses for its own upgrade-path posts, so the ratings and face stats below are read straight from them. Treat them as leaks until EA posts them.

Openda is the one people will chase: 95 pace on an 85 striker is rare this early in the cycle, and the Lyon card links to Ligue 1 and Belgium. Calafiori is the highest-rated of the three and the most complete, with 85 defending and 86 physical on a left back who has Premier League and Italy links. Brobbey is the target man of the set, 90 physical and 85 shooting, but 70 passing and a Sunderland club link limit where he fits.

How the RTTK SBC upgrade path works

All three cards use the same four steps. The first is the release card, and the next three depend on what the club does in the league phase of its European competition.

StepWhat the club must doWhat the card gets
1Nothing: campaign releaseThe base card
2Earn 3 wins in the league phase+1 base PlayStyle
3Score 1 goal in 3 separate matches+1 on two stats
4Finish top 8 in the league phase+1 OVR

The two stats in step 3 differ per card: Calafiori gets +1 defending and +1 physical, while Brobbey and Openda get +1 pace and +1 shooting. Brobbey’s final card is shown with 88 pace, 87 shooting and 91 physical, so the top-8 step lifts every stat, not only the overall.

One catch: the tracking is reported to start at release, not retroactively. If that holds, three wins need three more matchdays, and the earliest a step 2 or step 3 upgrade can land is after the January matchdays. A full explainer of the mechanics is in our Road to the Knockouts guide.

Who plays whom: the fixtures that decide the upgrades

The leaked graphics list each club’s remaining league-phase opponents, and that is where the three cards separate.

Arsenal are the safest bet for the top-8 step but face Real Madrid and Dortmund on the way to three wins. Lyon’s run looks the kindest on paper, which makes Openda the card with the best chance of reaching 86 with 96 pace. Sunderland’s Europa League group is winnable too, and the leaker’s own view was that they “should secure them easily”.

Buendรญa and Aleix Garcia: the objective cards

A second set of graphics, reposted by FutPoliceLeaks on Thursday night, puts Emiliano Buendรญa (Aston Villa, 84 or 85 CAM, the leaks differ) and Aleix Garcia (Leverkusen, 85 CM) down as objective rewards rather than SBCs. The same post claims Road to the Knockouts runs for one week and that Showdown SBCs follow next week. None of that is confirmed, and the images carry a coin seller’s watermark, so we are not showing them.

Buendรญa fits with what was seen in the game menus on Thursday evening, where a Road to the Knockouts live event with a Buendรญa card as the group reward was already visible but not yet open.

What to expect on Friday

The SBC prices will depend on the fodder market, which has been drifting down all week. For reference, the current Ampadu 85 SBC costs about 23K and the Schรผller 86 about 36K, so a similar range for Openda, Brobbey and Calafiori is a fair starting guess until the requirements are live. Our Ampadu SBC review shows what an 85-rated SBC card buys you right now.

Friday is also the expected release of Road to the Knockouts Team 1, led by Dembรฉlรฉ and Bellingham at 91, and Ultimate Scream leaves packs the same evening. We will cover the drop as it happens, and the SBCs get their own reviews once the prices settle. More leaks on our leaks page.

FC 27 RTTK SBC leaks: FAQ

When do the FC 27 RTTK SBCs release?

The Road to the Knockouts promo is expected on Friday 6 November at 6pm UK / 7pm CET. The Openda, Calafiori and Brobbey SBCs are expected around the same time, but EA has not confirmed any date yet.

How do the Road to the Knockouts SBC cards upgrade?

Three league-phase wins give +1 base PlayStyle, a goal in three separate matches gives +1 on two stats, and a top-8 finish in the league phase gives +1 OVR. The leaks say the tracking starts at release, so the first upgrades would not land before late January.

Is Openda, Calafiori or Brobbey the best RTTK SBC?

On paper Openda, for 95 pace on a striker that can reach 96. Calafiori is the better card for a Premier League defence, and Brobbey is a physical option for English sides. Wait for the live price and requirements before you commit.
