Ampadu SBC: an 85 midfielder with 87 Physical
Ultimate Scream Ethan Ampadu is an 85-rated CM for Leeds United who can also play CDM. He is one squad with no rating demands beyond a 45 minimum, and the requirement is a 22,000 squad score. In coins, the cheapest route was about 28,000 on launch night (ten 85s, an 84 and an 80). The SBC is not repeatable and expires on Tuesday 10 November.
| Detail | Ampadu SBC |
|---|---|
| Card | 85 CM, CDM alt, Wales, Leeds United |
| Cost | ~28K coins (22,000 squad score) |
| Skills / weak foot | 3 stars / 4 stars |
| AcceleRATE | Controlled, 183 cm, lean tall |
| Expires | Tue 10 Nov |
Stats and PlayStyles
| PAC | SHO | PAS | DRI | DEF | PHY |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 81 | 75 | 84 | 82 | 82 | 87 |
The numbers that matter for a holding midfielder are strong: 90 Short Pass, 88 Reactions, 86 Interceptions, 84 Standing Tackle, 90 Stamina and 86 Strength. Pace is 80 to 81, fine for a CDM but not for a CM who has to cover the whole pitch. His PlayStyles are Incisive Pass, Long Ball, Aerial Fortress, Press Proven and Long Throw.
That makes him a deep-lying passer who can win headers, not a ball winner who chases. For about 28K he is a cheap Premier League link for a Leeds or Wales core.
Early verdict
The first community votes on the SBC were split, with a slight majority against doing it, but they flipped within the hour: about 57% were positive by 20:00 CET. The card itself rates well once people see the stats, and at about 29.6K he is cheaper than every other player SBC from this week. Do him if you play two CDMs and need a Premier League link; skip him if you already have Reijnders or a meta 86+ in that slot.
Star Performers: five new cards
EA also added five Star Performer cards with the 6pm drop. FutSheriff listed them in his 6 PM content post, and all five appeared in the game at 18:00 UK time.
| Player | OVR | Pos | Club | Nation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marcel Sabitzer | 87 | CM | Borussia Dortmund | Austria |
| Trey Nyoni | 86 | CM | Liverpool | England |
| Jocelin Ta Bi | 85 | RM | Sunderland | Ivory Coast |
| Timo Baumgartl | 85 | CB | St. Louis CITY SC | Germany |
| Jay Lynch | 85 | GK | Fleetwood Town | England |
Nyoni is the eye-catcher: a 19-year-old Liverpool midfielder at 86 with a Premier League link. Ta Bi brings 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot and Explosive AcceleRATE on the right. Two hours after the drop, Sabitzer and Nyoni were still extinct on the transfer market. The FUT Accountant says EA has set the price ranges wrong again: Nyoni is capped at a 10K maximum, so every copy is bought the second it is listed. EA has not commented.
| Player | Tier | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Nyoni (86 CM) | S | 90% |
| Sabitzer (87 CM) | S | 77% |
| Lynch (85 GK) | S | 77% |
| Ta Bi (85 RM) | A | top vote |
| Baumgartl (85 CB) | A | top vote |
Voters rate Nyoni highest of the five. If you want him, set a bid and wait rather than chase listings: price-range mix-ups like this are usually fixed within a few days.
2x 83+ Upgrade and the Hocus Pocus puzzle
The 2x 83+ Upgrade gives a pack with two gold players rated 83 or higher. It costs about 8,000 coins, can be repeated once every 2 days and runs for 7 days. With 83 to 84 fodder rising all week because of the Max 88 Hero SBC, it mainly makes sense if you hold spare low golds.
Hocus Pocus is a new Ultimate Scream puzzle SBC. It costs about 5,000 coins and gives a Jumbo Gold Pack. It counts towards the Ultimate Scream Puzzle Completionist objective (100 Scream tokens + 100 Season Points), which expires in 3 days with the rest of the puzzle set.
- Pumpkin Seeds: ~14K
- Freaky Zombie: ~17K
- Boo Hoo Party: ~7K
- Scary Candy: ~5K
- Spooky Nights: ~3K
The whole puzzle set costs around 50K for 100 tokens and the packs. Only worth it if you still need tokens before the Ultimate Scream store closes.

FC 27 Ampadu SBC: FAQ
How much does the FC 27 Ampadu SBC cost?
About 28,000 coins for the cheapest route on launch night. The 22,000 in the requirement is the squad score, not a coin price. It is one squad, not repeatable, and expires on Tuesday 10 November.
Is Ultimate Scream Ampadu worth it?
For about 28K he is a solid CDM with 90 Short Pass, 86 Interceptions and 87 Physical, and the cheapest player SBC of the week. He fits best next to a faster midfielder in a two-CDM shape.
Who are the new FC 27 Star Performers?
Marcel Sabitzer 87 (Dortmund), Trey Nyoni 86 (Liverpool), Jocelin Ta Bi 85 (Sunderland), Timo Baumgartl 85 (St. Louis CITY SC) and goalkeeper Jay Lynch 85 (Fleetwood Town), all added on Tuesday 3 November.
