For players looking to strengthen their squad with a versatile and upgradeable option, Garcia’s SBC is a no-brainer.

Here’s a breakdown of everything that dropped, what’s worth your grind, and why Garcia might be one of the most undervalued cards in FC 25 right now.

Eric Garcia SBC is elite value for coins and fodder

The Eric Garcia Road to the Final SBC requires:

1 x 83-rated squad
1 x 85-rated squad
1 x 86-rated squad

At 6’0″ with four-star skill moves and a four-star weak foot, Garcia’s base stats are already solid. But what sets him apart are the elite playstyles and potential for upgrades based on FC Barcelona’s European performance. He can be used at CB, CDM or even RB, although CDM and CB are by far his strongest positions.

With Pinged Pass+, Long Ball Pass, Ticky Tacker, Intercept+, Slide Tackle and Relentless, he’s built for modern defending and midfield control. Paired with a Shadow or Engine chem style, Garcia becomes a serious problem for opponents.

Steve McManaman is a 5-star skiller with speed and sauce

The new Steve McManaman Dreamchasers SBC brings Premier League flair to Ultimate Team. He’s a 5-star skill, 4-star weak foot wide player who can play RM, LM, RW and CAM. While his CAM role is limited by his playstyle mix, McManaman is best used on the wing, and he absolutely cooks with an Engine chem style.

Here’s what makes him pop:

Travella, First Touch, Whipped Pass
Press Proven and Relentless

His dribbling is sharp, his stamina is elite, and his passing is more than enough on the wing. He lacks Inside Forward+, which keeps him just outside the meta elite, but he still offers a dynamic option for players who don’t care about chasing pure meta.

EA have also dropped a new Dreamchasers Objective, with the main reward being a 90-rated Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall Road to the Final card. It’s a card that can be completed entirely for free and has excellent base stats across the board.

He’s 5’10”, with four-star skill moves and weak foot, and has a brilliant playstyle mix:

With an Engine, Dewsbury-Hall becomes a mobile, reliable midfield engine with 95+ in balance, agility and passing metrics. Leicester City may not be Champions League material, but Chelsea are, and since Dewsbury-Hall plays for them now, this card has real upgrade potential if they progress.

To unlock him, you’ll need to:

Win games with Dreamchasers players
Score finesse, outside-the-foot, and bicycle goals
Assist across different matches
Score in Rivals, FUT Champs or Squad Battles

The objectives also reward you with EVO consumables, making the grind even more worthwhile.

Upgrades still lagging behind expectations

While the new players shine, upgrade content remains underwhelming. EA brought back:

88+ Campaign Pick: One of four Thunderstruck, Winter Wildcards, Globetrotters, Numero 4, or Team of the Year Honorable Mentions
88+ Hero Player Pick: One of three Prime, Winter Wildcard, or Grassroots Great Heroes

But these require:

For Campaign Pick: 86-rated, 87-rated with an inform, and an 88-rated squad
For Hero Pick: 85-rated and 87-rated squad

These packs are overpriced, especially in the current market where most top-tier cards are dirt cheap. Unless you’ve got a surplus of high-rated untradeables, they’re best avoided.

The UEFA Dreamchasers 4 SBC is better value, only requiring a 73-rated squad with light restrictions. It gives a Premium Electrum Players Pack, which isn’t huge, but it’s easy to complete.
