Get ready for the new FIFA e-game, that is supposedly called FIFA 2K.
Throughout the years there have been little to no competitors to EA Sports’ huge FIFA-series, which ran for 30 years as a partnership between EA and FIFA. But with the release of the 24-version of the game, EA Sports took a new path and broke out of the partnership with the International Football Association. At the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino held a press conference, where one of the topics was the development of a new FIFA game.
– When they play football simulation game, they play FIFA. It cannot be named something else. We are developing with new partners, a new game, which, obviously, as everything we do, will be the best. So, get ready for the new FIFA e-game, Infantino said.
2K Sports rumored to be a partner on “FIFA 2K”
2K Sports, the company behind successful titles such as the NBA 2K and WWE 2K series, is rumored to have partnered up with FIFA on the creation of a new e-FIFA supposedly called FIFA 2K.
Nothing has been confirmed though, and we could be looking into waiting until 2025 to get any more updates on the game that is expected to be ready to launch before the 2026 World Cup.
