EA has just rolled out the latest update for EA SPORTS FC 26, bringing the game to version 1.5.1. While this isn’t a massive gameplay overhaul, it brings some highly requested quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes across Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs.
If you’ve been frustrated by that pesky SBC filter resetting or your entire Manager Live squad rocking the exact same boots, this patch is for you. Here is the full breakdown of everything included in Title Update v1.5.1.
Ultimate Team: SBC Filter Fix
SBC grinders, rejoice! EA has finally addressed a frustrating menu quirk that has been slowing down menu navigation.
- Fix: When adding or swapping Player Items in a Squad or an SBC, the filter will now correctly default to the specific position highlighted, rather than defaulting to “Any”.
Career Mode: Deep Sim & Scouting Fixes
Career Mode sees the largest chunk of fixes in this update, ranging from visual glitches to scouting inaccuracies.
Changes & Improvements:
- Refreshed social media posts in the menu feeds.
- Updated the injury duration selection within the Injuries and Suspensions menu.
- Improved the visibility of qualification zones when checking competition standings in Deeper Sim.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where Role Growth would disappear if you swapped to the Position tab inside Development Plans.
- Fixed instances of overlapping UI text.
- Manager Live Fix: Addressed a hilarious but immersion-breaking bug where all players on the pitch were wearing the exact same boots during Manager Live matches.
- Fixed a bug where some leagues appeared “unavailable” when trying to replace teams in certain challenges.
- Corrected an issue where players were falsely displayed as playing out of position on the match preview screen.
- Fixed a bug where Scout reports would sometimes return incorrect player attribute values.
Clubs: CAM Rating Adjustments
For the Pro Clubs community, EA has made a targeted tweak to the match rating system.
- Fix: Further adjusted the Match Rating calculation logic specifically for CAMs to prevent them from receiving unintentionally high match ratings.
General, Audio, and Visuals
As always, EA has packed in a variety of broadcast and visual polish to keep the matchday experience looking fresh.
- Visual Updates: Refreshed various crests, banners, scarves, flags, scenes, camera angles, UI overlays, celebrations, text, hair models, ad boards, and cinematics.
- Stability: Addressed various background stability issues to reduce crashes and improve overall performance.
Note: Remember to restart your game or console to ensure the v1.5.1 update begins downloading so you can get back on the pitch!
