Hall of FUT is a new class of historical cards in FC 27. The base versions are sold in the Gallery Token Store for 300 to 750 Gallery Tokens, and you can only earn those by grading Gallery Sets. Since the cards are untradeable, you cannot sell a bad pick again, so it pays to choose well. If you are short of tokens, our cheapest Gallery sets list shows the fastest way to get them.

Are the 750-token Hall of FUT players worth it?

Pato: yes, if you need a striker. He rates 8.8/10, 81% of more than 3,000 player votes put him in S tier, and 13 of the 14 creators who covered him say he is worth the tokens. Quick Step+Quick Step+ with Rapid, Finesse and Low Driven Shot is exactly what scores goals in FC 27 right now.

Hulk: no, not at 750. He is a fun card and Power Shot+Power Shot+ is very strong at the moment, but he rates 8.3, below dos Santos and Doumbia, who cost 500. Several creators also expect Power Shot+Power Shot+ to be nerfed, and an untradeable card cannot be sold if that happens. Take him only if you have tokens to spare after your first pick.

What would the same quality cost in coins?

On stats alone, Pato and Doumbia are the hardest cards to replace: a striker who rates as well costs about 341K and 219K coins. Valencia and Richards are matched from about 32K, Guarín from about 50K. Hulk, Balotelli and Walcott are matched by market cards under 30K, so with them you mostly pay for the name. Chemistry, PlayStyles and how a card feels are not in these numbers, but they show where your tokens save you the most coins.

Overpowered: take these first

  • Antonio Valencia 9.4 500 tokens, best at RB. 90 pace, Controlled, 3-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Rapid. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. The best card in the store for his price. As a right back he has 90 pace, 87 physical and Jockey, Bruiser and Enforcer, and by stats he is one of the 15 best right backs in the whole game. Twelve of the thirteen creators who rated him say take him. The only gaps are Intercept and Anticipate, and his Rapid+Rapid+ is a little wasted at full back.
  • Micah Richards 9.3 500 tokens, best at CB or RB. 86 pace, Controlled, 2-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Bruiser. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. Pace and power at the back: 86 pace, 89 physical, Bruiser+Bruiser+ and Aerial Fortress. Creators liked him most at centre back, where he is very hard to get past and recovers fast. At right back Valencia is the better pick, but Richards is the best defender in the store if you need a CB.
  • Alexandre Pato 8.8 750 tokens, best at ST. 90 pace, Explosive, 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Quick Step. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. The best striker in the store. Quick Step+Quick Step+ with Rapid, Finesse Shot and Low Driven Shot, 4-star skills and weak foot, and an explosive 90-pace build that suits the small, agile meta. Creators and voters agree he is the top attacker here. The only real catch is the 750 tokens.
  • Fredy Guarín 8.8 400 tokens, best at CM. 79 pace, Controlled, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Power Shot. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. The best value in the store at 400 tokens. A physical box-to-box midfielder with Power Shot+Power Shot+, Pinged Pass, Low Driven Shot, Bruiser and Relentless, and 88 physical. Creators love his long shots. The risks: he is not quick on the turn, and Power Shot+Power Shot+ could be toned down in a patch.
  • Giovani dos Santos 8.5 500 tokens, best at LM. 87 pace, Explosive, 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Technical. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. The most meta of the 500-token attackers. 87 pace, 88 dribbling, Technical+Technical+, Quick Step and First Touch at only 175 cm, and he can play ST, CAM or either wing. Ten of eleven creators back him. He has no passing PlayStyle and is light in duels.

Strong picks

  • Seydou Doumbia 8.4 500 tokens, best at ST. 93 pace, Explosive, 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Quick Step. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. Think of him as Pato for 500 tokens. 93 pace, Quick Step+Quick Step+, Finesse and Low Driven Shot, 4-star skills and weak foot. Creators found him close to Pato in game. He lacks Rapid, and his passing is only 68.
  • Hulk 8.3 750 tokens, best at ST. 89 pace, Controlled, 4-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Power Shot. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. Power Shot+Power Shot+ makes his long shots and free kicks fly in right now, and he is strong on the ball with 87 physical and Enforcer. But at 750 tokens he costs as much as Pato, and several creators expect Power Shot+Power Shot+ to be nerfed. Doumbia and dos Santos give you most of it for 500.
  • Theo Walcott 8.0 500 tokens, best at RM. 96 pace, Explosive, 3-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Rapid. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. The fastest card here at 96 pace, with Rapid+Rapid+, Quick Step, Finesse and Low Driven Shot. Great on the counter from the wing. Creators were split: he only has 3-star skills and cannot play ST, so he needs a formation with wide forwards.
  • David Luiz 7.9 500 tokens, best at CDM. 79 pace, Lengthy, 3-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Block. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. A set-and-forget centre back: Block+Block+, Intercept, Aerial Fortress and Bruiser at 189 cm. Creators rate him solid, but his Lengthy 79 pace is a weakness, and most of them preferred Richards in game.
  • Mario Balotelli 7.8 500 tokens, best at ST. 85 pace, Lengthy, 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Low Driven Shot. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. A clinical finisher with Low Driven Shot+Low Driven Shot+, Power Shot and Gamechanger, plus good hold-up play at 190 cm. Creators split down the middle: deadly in the box, but sluggish to turn and short of acceleration for a counter-attack team.

Situational: only for the right team

  • Loïc Rémy 7.2 500 tokens, best at ST. 91 pace, Controlled, 4-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Low Driven Shot. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. Fast and a good finisher (91 pace, Low Driven Shot+Low Driven Shot+, Finesse, Rapid), but stiff on the ball with only 78 dribbling. Most creators rank him a tier below Doumbia and dos Santos for the same 500 tokens.
  • Gervinho 6.8 400 tokens, best at LM. 94 pace, Explosive, 4-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Rapid. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. 94 pace, Rapid+Rapid+, Quick Step and Trickster for 400 tokens. Fun on the wing, but his 76 shooting and no finishing PlayStyle let him down in front of goal.
  • Aiden McGeady 6.7 300 tokens, best at RM. 89 pace, Explosive, 5-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Trickster. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. The pick if you only have 300 tokens. 5-star skills, Trickster+Trickster+, Technical and Incisive Pass, and Premier League links. A dribbler and creator rather than a goal threat, and most creators call him a nostalgia pick.
  • Marouane Fellaini 6.5 500 tokens, best at CM. 74 pace, Lengthy, 3-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Precision Header. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. A unique card: 194 cm, 90 physical and Precision Header+. Useful as a super sub or a target for crosses and corners, but clunky in open play. Creators enjoyed him, few call him meta.

Avoid

  • Víctor Ibarbo 6.2 400 tokens, best at ST. 93 pace, Lengthy, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Quick Step. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. Quick Step+Quick Step+ and 93 pace in a 188 cm frame, but creators found him bulky and awkward on the ball, and no finishing PlayStyle beyond Power Shot. Rémy or Doumbia do the job better.
  • Jakub Błaszczykowski 6.1 400 tokens, best at RM. 93 pace, Explosive, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Rapid. Fast (93 pace, Rapid+) and he looks good as a winger on paper, but creators rank him near the bottom: 3-star skills, and he cannot play right back.
  • Alessandro Florenzi 6.1 400 tokens, best at CM. 86 pace, Explosive, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Relentless. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. Listed at right back, but creators found him weak there and better as a central midfielder. Relentless+Relentless+ is not a PlayStyle+ that changes games. Guarín is a much better 400-token midfielder.
  • Eljero Elia 6.0 500 tokens, best at LM. 91 pace, Explosive, 5-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Rapid. Most used chemistry style: Finisher. 91 pace, 5-star skills and Rapid+Rapid+, but 74 shooting and weak passing. Creators say dos Santos does the same job with far better finishing for the same 500 tokens.
  • Emmanuel Emenike 5.4 300 tokens, best at ST. 88 pace, Controlled, 3-star skills, 4-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Enforcer. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. Pace and power (88 pace, 85 physical, Enforcer+) for 300 tokens, but only 62 passing and 3-star skills. Creators found him clunky. Only for a Süper Lig or Nigeria team.
  • Miguel Layún 5.3 300 tokens, best at RB. 86 pace, Explosive, 3-star skills, 5-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Whipped Pass. Most used chemistry style: Shadow. His stats look good for a wingback (5-star weak foot, Whipped Pass+), but creators and voters disagree: only 4% of voters put him in S tier, and no creator called him worth it. His defending and physical are mediocre for a full back.
  • Adebayo Akinfenwa 4.5 500 tokens, best at ST. 72 pace, Controlled, 2-star skills, 3-star weak foot, PlayStyle+ Enforcer. Most used chemistry style: Hunter. A nostalgia card. 72 pace, 2-star skills and low agility make him the weakest card in the store by every measure, and he still costs 500 tokens.
  • Untradeable: a Hall of FUT card from the store cannot be sold, so you cannot get your tokens back.
  • Already own one? Rémy, dos Santos, Elia, Fellaini and Akinfenwa were also in the Ultimate Edition pre-order Player Pick. A second copy is untradeable, so do not buy a player you already have.
  • Chemistry: they follow Hero rules, so they always have full chemistry in a preferred position, whatever the links around them. The app showed some of them without full chemistry at first, which is a display glitch: in the game they get full chemistry.
  • Time limit: the current store has 21 Hall of FUT players and 5 away kit picks, and the store closes on Thu 3 Dec. EA says the Gallery Token Store will get new rewards through the season.
  • Power Shot+Power Shot+ risk: Hulk and Guarín lean on Power Shot+Power Shot+, which creators expect EA to tone down. Pato, dos Santos and Doumbia do not depend on it.
  • Evolutions: it is not confirmed yet which Evolutions Hall of FUT cards can use, so do not pick a card hoping to evolve it.

Morsey ranks every Hall of FUT card in the video above. His top tier is Hulk, Pato, David Luiz, dos Santos and Valencia, with Guarín first in the group below. He rates Hulk higher than we do because Hulk is a unique card. Ovvy FC’s top four is the same as ours: Richards, Valencia, Pato and Guarín.
