The most critical part involves the Winter Provision Upgrades. You need to complete this SBC four times a day. This pack functions as a battery for your grind. When you submit three 85-rated players, the game gives you 15 common gold cards and 25 rare gold cards in return. This exchange turns high-rated fodder into the raw volume needed to craft upgrade packs.
Why are Crafting Upgrades better than League Upgrades?
Crafting Upgrades are superior to League Upgrades because they offer better fodder diversity and the unique ability to pack Team of the Year Icons.
We put all our gold commons plus two rare golds into these Crafting Upgrades. While the return ratio is similar to other upgrades, the Crafting Upgrade prevents you from getting duplicate-locked with low-rated rares from a single league.
More importantly, TOTY Icons are packable here. Limiting yourself to league-specific upgrades for your commons removes the chance of hitting those top-tier Icons. Furthermore, the “recycling loop” is tighter here. You put cards in, you get cards out that can go into any league upgrade, and you keep moving.
Which league upgrades have the best TOTY odds?
LaLiga and Liga F offer the highest value due to meta card density, but the Premier League is statistically safer during the defender-only window.
For the vast majority of the promo, we focus on LaLiga and Liga F. The concentration of meta cards in these leagues is unmatched. If you are grinding during the midfielder release window, LaLiga is practically the only correct choice due to cards like Bellingham, Putellas, and Bonmatí.
However, if you are grinding specifically during the defender release window, you must pivot to the Premier League and WSL. There are six TOTY defenders available in these leagues. Mathematically, your chances of seeing a blue flare are highest here when defenders are the only cards in packs.
How should I recycle high-rated duplicate fodder?
You should recycle 83-84 rated cards into 83+ x10 or x5 upgrades, while 85s go back into Winter Provisions and 86+ cards go into Icon SBCs.
