Soccer fans are quick to download the latest version of EAFC 25 following its release, as it enables passionate followers to feel closer to the sport.
The release stays prominent throughout the season, with players able to update the title to ensure that player ratings stay as close to real-life as possible. Career mode is typically one of the most popular game formats in the title, and there are few better locations to start a managerial career than in the Bundesliga.
But, if you’re looking for an easier assignment, who are the top-rated teams in Germany’s top-flight in EAFC 25?
Bayern Munich
To no surprise, the leader in the Bundesliga winner odds are also the highest-rated team in the game. Bayern Munich have a five-star rating in the game this year, and they also have the highest-rated player in the domestic league in the form of Harry Kane.
For those looking to start a career mode with the club, you will be able to invest in your squad with a healthy budget, as the Bavarians kick off the season with a transfer kitty of $110 million.
However, huge expectations will need to be met in order to keep the job, as domestic and European success will be tasked with players. As well as that, managers will also need to meet important brand and youth objectives.
Bayer Leverkusen
Bayern Munich aren’t the only five-star rated team in the Bundesliga, with the reigning German champions also boastingthe same official rating in EAFC 25. Bayer Leverkusen ended their long wait for domestic glory in 2023-24, and they are rewarded with some lofty ratings in the most recent release of the game.
As well as landing a first Bundesliga title, Leverkusen also landed success in the DFB Pokal and also reached the final of the Europa League. Like managing Bayern, there will be important domestic goals that must be achieved at Leverkusen. Despite their recent upset against Arminia Bielefeld, they are still in the contention to win the Bundesliga.
However, European, brand, and financial aims have lower expectations. Leverkusen also start career mode with a smaller transfer budget, as managers will have $64 million to splash when improving the squad.
Borussia Dortmund
It has been a far from ideal 2024-25 campaign for Borussia Dortmund, as they look set to miss out on a Champions League spot in real life. The German giants could be a solid selection for players when assessing a managerial job to take, especially with the addition of starting a managerial career mode mid-season.
Unlike Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, Dortmund start as a four and a half star team. But, managers will have a talented squad at their disposal, with the weakest areas that could be improved coming in the full-back areas.
Dortmund will still have important tasks that managers should complete, which includes critical expectations domestically, and also high expectations for youth, European, and financial targets. Managers at Dortmund will start with a healthy budget of $62 million, while you could also sell first-team stars to help finance a re-build of your squad.
RB Leipzig
RB Leipzig are always a prominent selection for managers when assessing German clubs in the Career Mode section, with much of that being due to their healthy budget and smart kits.
In manager mode, Leipzig will start with the second-highest budget in Germany, as players will have $86 million to spend on new players. Like Dortmund, Leipzig have a four and a half star rating in the title. But, the objectives are slightly more relaxed.
There are few financial objectives that must be achieved, but domestic success is a major challenge that players must achieve. But, players will also have few targets to achieve in terms of brand exposure and youth development. Leipzig also has a deep squad of talented for players to get competitive from an early stage, with Lois Openda and Arsenal’s target Benjamin Sesko being among the best strikers in the German top-flight.
Eintracht Frankfurt
Eintracht Frankfurt are another of the most popular teams that many select to play with in Career Mode, as their smart kits and an official stadium in the form of the Deutsche Bank Park are two key factors worth considering.
Frankfurt have enjoyed a strong 2024-25 season, and if players opt to jump in mid-season, the club will be in a challenge for a Champions League position. The German team have a four-star rating in the game this year, but managers in Career Mode will likely need to be more savvy in the transfer market and offload stars at their peak value in order to re-invest.
Despite being one of the biggest clubs in Germany, Frankfurt start a season with a budget of just $37 million.
However, managers are typically given time to reach their brand and financial objectives, and there are minimal youth and European targets that must be achieved.
