EA Sports FC 26’s next Team of the Week has been leaked ahead of its official release, revealing a mix of major stars and some unexpected inclusions. The TOTW 9 squad, which will replace TOTW 8 tonight at 19:00 CET, features Paris Saint-Germain’s Vitinha, Lionel Messi, and Manchester City’s Jérémy Doku as its standout players.
The full set of cards surfaced on Twitter earlier today, showing every player’s overall rating and club. The biggest surprise might be the absence of Robert Lewandowski and Antoine Griezmann, both heavily predicted after strong weekend performances but left out of the final selection.
Vitinha gets +4 pace upgrade
Vitinha’s new 90-rated card will likely attract plenty of attention. The Portuguese midfielder has already become a fan favorite for his technical playstyle, and while his upgraded version only reaches 76 pace, his all-around stats make him an elite option in central midfield.
Lionel Messi also returns to the TOTW spotlight with an 87-rated card. However, with his base version already lagging behind the current meta, this minor boost is unlikely to spark much hype among players who have moved on from the Argentinian’s slower playstyle.
The third highlight is Jérémy Doku’s 84-rated item. The explosive winger has seen multiple evolutions of his 81 base card this season, so this in-form version will need to stand out in order to offer something new. Fans will be eager to compare how EA differentiates this version from his existing evolution upgrades.
