He was about 18,000 coins last night. Fodder rose by about a third on Friday morning ahead of Ultimate Scream, so he is a little dearer today. At this price, your duplicates and untradeable pack pulls will usually cover most of it.

The good: 88 Short Passing, 89 Long Passing, 89 Curve and four passing PlayStyles make him one of the best passers you can get for this price. 90 Composure, 88 Reactions and 88 Stamina are excellent for a cheap card. Power Shot+ gives him a real threat from outside the box.
The bad: 73 Sprint Speed and 74 Agility make him slow and heavy on the ball. He has no defensive PlayStyles such as Intercept or Anticipate, and no Pinged Pass.
What the creators say
Morsey played him at CDM in a 4-2-1-3 and calls him the best value SBC so far, “probably one of the better budget CDMs out there”. He liked the long balls, the power shots and how many passes he intercepted. His advice is to use him as a passer, not a dribbler.
InceptionFC covered Groß in his Raphinha video. He calls him insanely good value at about 18,000 and recommends doing him. He only wishes Groß had a bit more pace.
Viperlization disagrees. He played him as a box-to-box and says Groß feels like an 80-rated card from launch, with heavy dribbling and no defensive PlayStyles. He calls him gallery fodder and says the Hall of FUT midfielders for 500 Gallery tokens do more.

Our verdict: worth it as a cheap CDM
Do Groß if you need a budget CDM or a Premier League midfielder, and pay for him with fodder you already own. He will not carry a team in midfield, and Viperlization is right that he is slow. But as a holding passer next to a faster partner, he gives you a lot for 24,000 coins. He also counts towards Brighton in the FUT Gallery.
Skip him if you already have a Hall of FUT midfielder, or if you need a CDM who can chase runners.
