Which country should you send your youth scouts to in FC 27 Career Mode? EA has never published an official ranking, but the same handful of nations comes up again and again among players and guides: Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina and England. Here’s where to send your scouts, how youth scouting works, and why FC 27’s new Growth Profiles and Dynamic Potential matter more for your academy than the country you pick.

| A good fit for development clubs like Ajax |
Important: none of this is official. EA hasn’t confirmed that any country produces better prospects than another in FC 27. The list above is what experienced Career Mode players and guides agree on. Don’t expect a country to produce a certain position either. Your scout’s quality and the potential range in the report matter more than the flag.
Our tip: send your three scouts to three different countries, for example Brazil, France and Spain. Then you get a mix of player types, and you can compare which reports give you the best potential ranges.
How youth scouting works in FC 27 Career Mode
- Hire youth scouts. Each scout has a rating for Experience and Judgement. Better scouts find better prospects and give more accurate potential ranges. Some editions of FC 27 include 5-star youth scouts as a bonus.
- Send them on an assignment to a country. Longer assignments give you more scouting reports. Ending one early doesn’t mean you “missed” a player, but you get fewer reports.
- Read the reports. Each prospect comes with an overall and a potential range. A narrow range from a good scout is more reliable than a huge range from a weak one.
- Sign the best prospects to your youth academy and promote them to the first team when they are ready.
Match the scouting to your club. With Ajax, scout the Netherlands, Belgium and Scandinavia. A Spanish club fits Spain and nearby countries. It makes the save feel more real, and you lose very little in quality.
What’s new for youth players in FC 27
FC 27 changes how young players develop, and that changes how you should judge your scouting reports:
- Growth Profiles: every player has one of six development paths. It decides when he peaks, how fast he improves and how quickly he declines. Two prospects with the same overall and potential can grow very differently.
- Dynamic Potential: a player’s ceiling isn’t fixed any more. Youngsters who keep playing well can go past their listed potential, and players stuck on the bench or in poor form lose momentum.
- Dynamic OVR: a player’s current rating moves with form, morale, fitness and injuries during the season.
The practical lesson: game time matters. A 4-star prospect who plays every week can end up better than a 5-star prospect who sits in the stands. Give your best youngsters minutes in cup games and against weaker teams.
FC 27 youth scouting tips
- Pay for your best scout first. A great scout in an average country beats a weak scout in Brazil.
- Re-scout before you sign. If the potential range is wide, keep the scout on the assignment for more reports.
- Promote at the right time. A youngster who rots in the academy doesn’t get the game time that Dynamic Potential rewards.
- Use the loan market for prospects who aren’t ready for your first team but need minutes.
