Early impressions of Season 3 in FC 26
Starting the Season 3 pass feels similar to previous years. EA mixes gameplay items with heavy Career Mode content even though many Ultimate Team players will never use it. Items such as tattoos, boots and manager scenes return once again, which has been a big talking point in the community. These dont matter much in Ultimate Team and feel like filler.
The early standout is Thunderstruck Sarriegi at level 5 premium. For starter teams he offers good finishing and movement. Levels 7 to 10 introduce several Evolutions including Intercept, First Touch and Catenaccio which can make budget cards useable for early Rivals.
Pack value increases sharply later in the pass
The biggest change from Season 2 is the quality of late-pack rewards. The 10×82+, 4×82+, 5×84+, 5×85+ and the 10×84+ pack at level 40 premium are among the strongest season rewards EA has ever offered. These packs can drastically improve your club or give high-value fodder for SBCs.
Levels 27 to 32 also feature strong 83+ and 82+ picks that help craft squads for FUT Champs.
The big level 40 premium decision
At level 40 premium, players must choose between:
- 89-rated Winter Wildcard Zola
- 10x 84+ Rare Gold Players Pack
Zola has finesse shot plus, four star skills, five star weak foot and excellent mobility. He fits the current meta perfectly. The 10×84+ has bigger pack hype but carries risk. Most competitive players will likely choose Zola because he remains usable even after several promos.
On the free track, Barella is a brilliant midfielder with high defensive work, stamina and smooth turns.
FUT Champs and Rivals reward upgrades help the grind
FUT Champs Rank 1 now hands out an 86×10 which is a massive incentive to push for higher ranks. Rivals rewards also increased across multiple divisions. Division 1 and Elite now include 85×4 packs which make the weekly cycle feel more rewarding. This helps balance the weaker early levels of the Season Pass.
Is the Season 3 premium pass worth 500k?
With the complete reward list now confirmed, Season 3 is clearly stronger than Season 2. The middle and late tiers give real value, the World Tour cards are excellent and Zola at level 40 premium is worth the grind alone.
