Every FC 27 Future Stars card can still grow until EA adds the upgrades on 3 February 2027. This tracker follows all 52 Future Stars items live: league starts, goals, assists and clean sheets since 9 October, how far each card is from its next upgrade, and what it looks like when everything is unlocked.

How Future Stars upgrades work
EA tracks domestic league games only, from 9 October. Cup and European games do not count. Each milestone unlocks its upgrade once, and all of them are added to the cards together on 3 February, according to EA’s official Future Stars rules.

A card that already has a PlayStyle+ gets an extra regular PlayStyle instead, and a card that already has 5★ weak foot gets 5★ skill moves. Clean sheets only count when the player was on the pitch.
The 87 cap: which cards can actually go up in rating
The starts upgrades stop at 86 and 87 OVR. That means 14 of the 52 Future Stars cards are already 87 or higher and cannot gain any rating from games, including Rayan, Vicky López, Mainoo and Pubill. For them it is all about the PlayStyle+ and the fifth weak-foot star.
The six 86-rated cards can gain one point, and the 84 and 85-rated cards can gain two. If you want a card that grows, the cheaper SBC and objective items are often the better bet.
Why some midfielders chase clean sheets
The position on the card decides the group, not the player’s real role. CDMs count as DEF/GK, so Mainoo, Lewis-Skelly, Blindkilde Brown, Hutton and Diabate need clean sheets, not goals and assists. A goal from them does nothing for the upgrade.
Five cards play in the Americas, where the milestones are much lower: Gisele Thompson, Claire Hutton, Gilberto Mora, Julian Hall and Milton Delgado. Two starts are already enough for their first upgrade.

When do Future Stars cards upgrade in FC 27?
EA tracks league games from 9 October and adds all unlocked upgrades to the cards on 3 February 2027. Until then the tracker shows which upgrades a card has already secured.
Do Champions League or cup games count for Future Stars upgrades?
No. Only domestic league games count. A start or a goal in the Champions League, the Europa League or a cup does not move the tracker.
Why does my Future Stars card not get an OVR upgrade?
The starts upgrades are capped at 86 and 87 OVR. A card that is already 87 or higher keeps its rating and can only gain the PlayStyle+ and the 5★ weak foot upgrades.
